Well, Qik on iPhone has always been a topic of interest from our users since the first time we launched on iPhone a year or so back. Since then, we have made great strides to bring not only high quality video streaming from iPhones but also provide rich features like 1-tap sharing to your favorite social networks, location support, ability to playback videos and much more. Then with the launch of iPhone 3GS this summer, we submitted and got approved for Qik on the App Store to enable you to capture and then share your experience with your friends on your favorite social networks.
We have now taken the next step and submitted the Qik application that enables you to share your experience live from your iPhone for approval to App Store. So, now let’s see what happens

You guys should have been first!
I tried using the Ustream Broadcast app for the iphone and found it cumbersome to use. I used to use qik on my blackberry curve and loved it. I guess I don't understand why the app store allowed Ustream and Knocking Live to stream live video when it's obvious that Qik does it better. Hurry up Apple and approve it already.

i agree ..thank for the info! keep it up.
I check the App Store every day looking for an updated QIK. It is kind of like Christmas. Anticipation, disappointment and hopefully elation soon!
any word yet from apple about approval
No live-Qik in App Store yet?
@lolorio Bambuser released their streaming app today, it seems easier to use than Ustream
Apple is fickle with approvals which has various devs a bit peeved. They can have something in limbo for months with no approval or rejection or response to the dev. Frustrating for us and especially the devs since it impacts their business.
Thanks Bingo…I'll check it out
By the way, I just want to say that it is wonderful to use this app on the iPhone.

Happy Holidays Broy and Company .. were all eagerly awaiting for the Qik approval ..
well i really hope qik gets approved by apple before Christmas so that i can stream my Christmas activities live.
This is very good news for me!
The app store approval process really s*cks for both developers and users, doesn't it.
This could take months. Apple probably doesn't even inform Qik of progress.
LIVE! but having issues downloading it. Keeps saying I'm not logged into my iTunes account even though I know I'm logged in.
Problem solved. Must delete the JB version to properly install so it seems.
I also noted that when I downloaded in iTunes it asked me to Check for Available apps in iTunes Store. I did that and then the download worked. Odd bug.
Chat also doesn't seem to work from iPhone when live on the iPhone.
It's LIVE in the App Store!
My iphone 3GS still doesnt broadcast live video even after downloading the app from the app store, any ideas??? qik.com/stbarts
its live but I cannot get it to stream live with the iphone 3GS, anyone know what is up???
