Mobile Jones Tackles N95 Audio Quality with External Mic

In a thorough write-up on her blog, Debi Jones (aka Mobile Jones) documents the process of adding an external microphone to the Nokia N95, chronicling the contributions of several community members in striving for a workable audio solution over the last few months, including Shelbinator, Steve Garfield, and New Media Jim.

This is a great development for our users -- one of the most popular devices for capturing moments with Qik just got a lot more versatile. Nice!

Variety published the list of Top 10 Innovators to Watch and we feel fortunate to be included in this list. (Link to the article).

We'll be at to the Variety Event on May 6 starting 3:30pm at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles and it would be my pleasure to meet up with Qikkers going there or in LA. And of course - true Qik-style the event will be streamed live at qik.com/event/19/variety-top-10-innovators.

KSEE24 News Station starts using Qik

KSEE24 News Station started using Qik to stream live breaking news. Their coverage started on Thursday, when they streamed live the Immigration Rally march in downtown Fresno. Additional details on the rally can be found here.

Lost the Qik client after a firmware upgrade? Changed phones and want to reinstall? Now, no need to contact support - you can do this yourself with a click of a link.

Just login to your profile page and click the "reinstall qik" link. This will send you an SMS with a link to dowload and the install client along with an activation code to re-activate the client.
