November 26 at 11:11 pm by bhaskar

As we get closer to wrapping up the Thanksgiving weekend here at Qik - we wanted to provide more options to everyone to share their Thanksgiving dinners and Black Friday moments. Starting now, we have Alpha available for the following BlackBerry phones running Blackberry OS 4.5:
- Blackberry Curve 8310
- Blackberry Curve 8330
- Blackberry Pearl 8130

This is in addition to Blackberry Curve 8320, Blackberry Pearl 8120 and Blackberry Bold that we announced support for a month back.

If you have any questions or issues please let us know at blackberry@qik.com.

It seems this version allowed my Blackberry 8130 4.5 to stream, but it didn't save the video, nor did it keep streaming after 30 seconds.

Downloaded app for Berry Curve 8310. OS 4.2 (I know it's only for OS 4.5 but i had to try!). It didn't work. Get message: 'Error Starting Qik: Class 'net.rim.device.api.system.WLANInfo' not found.

OS 4.2 does not support streaming video and you can not record video. This has been added to os 4.5. Try to upgrade and see what happens. I am downloading os 4.5 right now since it has finally been added to at&t devices

I have 4.5 - all the videos I upload are black screen with no video- perhaps I need to hack the 8310 to allow more permissions
