The BBC wants your Qik feedback

November 14 at 02:11 pm by jackie

Our friends at the BBC, who experimented with Qik throughout the US Elections, are curious to know what you think of their approach here. Check out this Qik from the BBC's Jamillah Knowles, asking you to submit your own Qiks to tell them what you think they're getting right, what you would change, and how you think they should be using your Qiks.

Let loose with your feedback!

BBC should use Qik to stream videos about major events that not every ordinary citizen has access to. Moreover, you should create a BBC-QIK twitter account to alert viewers.

Pienso que Qik es muy buena idea, puedes ver los videos en vivo y no solo eso sino chatear en vivo es muy original!. saludos desde Peru!

I use Qik daily from work check out my website http://myrnshow.com it's fun, free and fast. I've been using it for about 2 months now on a iPhone 3g, the support forums are friendly and helpful. It's very entertaining to watch yourself and others. I've been able to catch supprize events such as a zepplin in flight over San francisco, tesla roadster in testing, and my brother who's on his way to becoming a profesional drifter.

i get really drunk and use qik i reccomend it, the reason i mention that is qik gives you the opportunity to capture real life evente live so bbc needs to deploy a group of qik reporters for big events. Olympics would have been good for example. make a bbc qik group and get them drunk every once in a while theres no reason to be just talking heads on tv

BBC should figure out a way to get people who are near breaking news to QIK it.

This is by far, the most innovative and technologically "dope" site on the web...

I'll post my feedback here. Thanks to BBC for featuring my videos during the election. It's a great idea and I appreciate all the work that went into it. The BBC is way ahead of local media outlets in Boston. Hopefully one day soon, local TV stations will see the value in viewer contributions to the extent that the BBC has. Things I would have liked to see from the BBC, adn any other media outlet that highlights user video: 1. A link back on the web page to the original Qik Video 2. A link back to the creator's website with name mentioned. 3. An email from the BBC alerting the video creator that the video was selected to be shown on the BBC site 4. The BBC should download the high quality mp4 file and edit that onto their web page instead of shooting a video of the screen. 5. A personal connection between the BBC and the video submitter. It's a good chance to form relationships. Thanks, --Steve
