Qik on BlackBerry Curve 8330: Update
First, thank you very much to all of our users who have sent us their log files and supplied us with other information about their use of Qik on the BlackBerry Curve 8330. You guys gave us important data that helped us to figure out what was causing some 8330 users problems with Qikking.
It now seems that whether or not you have this issue depends upon which version of the BlackBerry operating system you are using. This applies both to 8130 and 8330 BlackBerry handsets (two CDMA phones).
Carriers Verizon and Spring have only officially released BlackBerry OS version 4.3; Qik works with no problems on this operating system. However, if you have upgraded to the unofficial 4.5 release of the BlackBerry operating system on either the 8330 or 8130, Qik will not work as it should. (Please note that this goes not only for Verizon and Sprint, but other CDMA networks.)
We are working to resolve this discrepancy between operating systems so that those BlackBerry 8130 and 8330 owners who have upgraded their OSs to the unofficial 4.5 release may use Qik as easily as those who are still running 4.3. We really appreciate users' patience while we deal with this and work to get you Qikking as soon as possible.
Again, our deepest thanks to users who have sent us their log files and other data to help us figure out what was at the root of this issue. We're disappointed whenever any user has a problem Qikking, but we're very glad to have such patient, understanding, and helpful users who really do contribute so much to helping us release better products.
Watch this space for updates as we progress this issue. Thanks!

I went through the "official" OS upgrading process via blackberry.com/upgrades and it gave me what I thought was the official OS 4.5 for my Verizon 8330 Curve.... I take it that it's technically not supported by VZW, and this is the issue I'm having w/ Qi

VZW (CDMA)8330 4.3. Live streaming does not work? I press "stream" starts recording, but nothing shows on the website. Only when I press pause and goes back to the main qik then the video shows (not live) on the webpage. Sometimes. Is there a new version?

I'm having the same issue as hvelez. Is this being looked into for the next release of Qik for BB?

I've got Alltel, and I've got the same problem as macaddict89 and hvelez. The status bar at the top gets to 100%, but nothing shows on the website.

same issue here with video not appearing live until after recording stops. there also seems to be an issue where the qik client is launching the video recorder, but depending on the state of the video recorder when launched (i.e. if it was already open

the huge pain is that vzw no longer has 4.3 up on their site so i'm incapable of rolling back at this point as far as i know. (without doing too much footwork)

well if VZW updated their 8330 software to 4.5 is Qik going to focus on development for 4.3 or 4.5? I haven't updated yet, but I will if it makes Qik's life easier.

I downgraded to 4.3, but as above my broadcasts were delayed. I also could not record over a few seconds at a time. I forwarded my log file and I've since upgraded back to 4.5 Official from VZW. I hope this gets to working soon, it's pretty cool when it's up.

Same trouble as tomcapote, vzw 8330 upgraded to official vzw 4.5.077 stuck on login screen, although it appears to be in contact with "something" the way the arrows are flashing. I also saw that when I was logging in under the username I hit enter and was allowed to have multiple (seemed like unlimited) lines in that field. Only one line in the password field.

Will there be support for the new 4.6? I notice the Blackberry Bold is listed on the supported phones, but all Bolds run on the new 4.6 OS.
