New York Times using Qik to cover protests live

September 25th, 2009 by Jackie

I love how reporters from the New York Times blog The Lede (Qik user thelede) are using Qik to cover Iranian protests in New York. Videos are being streamed live to The Lede blog as well as their Qik page as they show how activists from the Iranian opposition movement are blanketing the Brooklyn Bridge in green.

Thank you to The Lede’s reporters, including Robert Mackey, for using Qik in such an important way. Being able to watch the protesters’ actions live is riveting, and we’re glad to be able to help bring this coverage to so many people.
